Eastmachinery Bearings LLC now offers specially formulated rubber
seals with unique geometries to protect 6000, 6200 and 6300 series ball
bearings from moisture, wash-down chemicals, mud and dirt. Applications
include outdoor environments, lawn and garden equipment, snow blowers,
pumps and compressors, pulleys and idlers and rollers and conveyors.
Bearings
are filled with a special grease lubricant, featuring synthetic base
oil with a lithium complex thickener. The grease contains additives to
protect against wear and corrosion, and can withstand temperatures from
-40°C to +150°C (-40°F to +302°F). The sealed bearings meet ABEC 1
tolerances per A.B.M.A. standard 20, and have modified internal
clearances that allow for easy interference fitting of both rings if
desired.
A 6203 bearing, for example, could be treated with this
sealing and lubricant technology and the nomenclature would be referred
to as 6203-2RES. Other bearing specifications for a sealed 6203-2RES
remain the same: bore diameter (17mm), outer diameter (40mm), width
(12mm), static load capacity (1,070 lbs.), dynamic load capacity (2,150
lbs.), and maximum speed (9,000 rpm).
